Privacy Notice

Rabbit Hole is a free daily word puzzle. This page explains what data is collected and how it is used.

Anonymous usage analytics

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically collects anonymous performance and usage data including: page views, general location (country level), browser type, device type, and Core Web Vitals. This is cookie-free and no individual user is identified or tracked across sessions or sites.

Anonymous game events

When you complete or give up a puzzle, an anonymous event is recorded containing: the date, number of hops taken, hop types used (rhyme/synonym/antonym), and number of Reveals used. No account, IP address, or other identifying information is stored alongside this data. It is used only to understand puzzle difficulty and game balance.

Your scores and streaks

Your personal scores, streaks, and completed puzzle history are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data will remove it.

Anonymous player ID

On your first visit, a random anonymous ID is generated and stored in your browser's localStorage. This ID is used only to link your game events together (for example, to avoid counting the same player twice in statistics). It cannot be used to identify you and is never shared with third parties.

No cookies

We use no tracking cookies of any kind.
